Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines what you can and cannot do when using Askivo AI ("Askivo", "the platform").

This policy forms part of the Terms of Service and is designed to protect the platform, our users, and third parties from harmful, unlawful, or abusive use.

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the permitted and prohibited uses of Askivo AI ("Askivo", "the platform"). It forms part of the Terms of Service and is incorporated by reference.

This policy exists to protect the platform, our users, their customers, and third parties from harmful, unlawful, or abusive use.

2. Permitted Use

You may use Askivo to:

  • Build AI assistants using content you own or have rights to use
  • Deploy assistants on your own websites and systems
  • Message customers who have given consent to receive communications
  • Process customer data in compliance with applicable privacy laws
  • Integrate with WhatsApp Business Platform in accordance with Meta's policies

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of Askivo complies with all applicable laws and third-party rights.

3. Prohibited Content

You must not upload, store, or distribute the following types of content on Askivo:

  • Illegal content — content that violates applicable laws, including content promoting violence, terrorism, or illegal activities
  • Infringing content — content that infringes the intellectual property rights, privacy, or other rights of third parties
  • Malicious content — malware, viruses, ransomware, or any code designed to harm or exploit systems
  • Hateful content — content that promotes discrimination, hatred, or violence against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
  • Harassing content — content designed to harass, bully, or intimidate specific individuals
  • Content involving minors — any content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers children
  • Deceptive content — content designed to impersonate others, spread disinformation, or commit fraud

4. Prohibited Conduct

You must not engage in the following conduct on or through Askivo:

  • Spamming — sending unsolicited communications to individuals who have not consented
  • Scraping — automated extraction of data from Askivo or third-party platforms without authorization
  • Reverse engineering — attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract Askivo's proprietary systems
  • Unauthorized access — attempting to access accounts, systems, or data you are not authorized to access
  • Rate abuse — intentionally overloading the platform through automated means or excessive requests
  • Reselling — reselling or sublicensing the Services without authorization
  • Circumventing security — attempting to bypass security measures, rate limits, or access controls

5. WhatsApp-Specific Rules

When using Askivo's WhatsApp Business Platform integration, the following rules apply in addition to the general prohibitions above:

  • Opt-in required — you must obtain explicit consent from each recipient before sending them WhatsApp messages
  • Opt-out honoring — you must honor opt-out requests (e.g., STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE) immediately and stop sending to that recipient
  • Template compliance — use only Meta-approved message templates where required; do not attempt to bypass template restrictions
  • No spam — do not send unsolicited, repetitive, or irrelevant messages
  • Lawful messaging — all messaging must comply with applicable telecommunications and consumer protection laws

Violations of WhatsApp rules may result in Meta account bans, which Askivo cannot prevent or reverse. Askivo is not liable for Meta enforcement actions.

6. Enforcement

Askivo reserves the right to enforce this AUP at its discretion. Enforcement actions may include:

  • Warning — a formal notice of violation with a deadline to remediate
  • Content removal — removal of prohibited content without prior notice for serious violations
  • Suspension — temporary suspension of account access pending investigation or remediation
  • Termination — permanent termination of the account for serious or repeated violations
  • Legal action — referral to law enforcement or legal proceedings where required by law

Askivo may investigate suspected violations and may cooperate with law enforcement or third parties in investigating unlawful use. You agree to cooperate with any such investigation.

7. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of a violation of this AUP — whether by another Askivo user or a third party — please report it to us.

Reports can be sent to hello@askivo.ai. Please include as much detail as possible, including the nature of the violation, the content or account involved, and any relevant evidence.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP periodically. Updated versions will be published on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of Askivo after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
